When people think of doing internet marketing to be successful, and if they do not want to pay premium prices for Pay per Click campaign or SEO Services, they begin to think of what they can do themselves.
They wonder about what can work, then they read all this excellent stuff about SEO, keywords, blogs etc...
But after researching the domain name and keywords and the on-page optimization (all kind of tags including meta, your content...), they try to find better ways of higher ranking. Then they begin to believe and search the Holy Grail of internet marketing.
That 's when things begin to complicate. Losing part of their reason in their Quest, they will believe everything and see any new marketing method as a possible path for their illumination.
But if you feel nervous about what to do and where to begin with internet marketing, then rest assured you are not the only one.
Now why do people get so desperate?
May be they think that they can control the web traffic as opposed to just influence it. When analysing their statistics data, they think they are going to reflect rapidly the result of their marketing work.
If next week is sunny and warm, people will go to the beach instead of shopping online and your statistics might not look very good. See thing on the middle term. Short term is good too but be careful.
Don't think like this guy, going daily to his work with his old petrol car. Most of the time there is a lot of traffic on the road, but for the last 3 days, the traffic was clear.
So avoid the guess work with your data and stay pragmatic, keep doing the good job, use the right tools to help you, stick to the principles you know are successful, and then it is a matter of time.
